Emma and Ben’s wedding was an incredibly unique DIY wedding. They decorated the whole event themselves! All of the furniture and décor in their home they have sourced, made or restored together. Their aim was to be as true to their style as possible (their house is super eclectic) so why not have a wedding that’s the same! Everything was thrifted, free or found in hard rubbish!

They are a fun and relaxed couple who like food, drinks and a boogie on the dance floor (well, the dance floor is mostly Emma’s thing). So that became the basis of how they planned their wedding. They wanted a laidback, fun party atmosphere where they could celebrate their love with all of our family and friends, and that was exactly what they got! They had envision people making the most out of the free food and alcohol and dancing for pretty much the whole event and were hoping to receive and album of images that showed people enjoying themselves as much as possible as their guest happiness is what makes them happy too.

Despite the fact that it was a rainy day which changed their original plans of having an outdoor ceremony nothing could dampen their spirits. They married the partner of their dreams and were surrounded by their loved ones who celebrated their love way into the night- it could not have been more perfect. We were blessed with a gorgeous golden hour with the sun peeping out in time for a quick portrait session.
All in all, their wedding was just as they had hoped, filled with heaps of love, laughter fun and “some pretty cool style.”
